It’s important within a study set that the language is set correctly in order for the pronunciation to work. In the example below, you see that the language is set on Other on one side. This is useful for when we don’t offer that language, however the pronunciation will not work.
Below you see the pronunciation does work because the language is set correctly on both sides (the icons will both turn purple).
In order for the pronunciation to work, a language must be set for both sides:
- Go to a study set
- Press on the green button with the pencil (Change), or if it’s someone else’s list, the button with the two squares (make a copy). On the app, you first press on the 3 dots.
- Click on the language Others, this means that there is no language selected for this side.
- Select the correct language
- Click on the button I’m done if you’ve selected a language for both sides.
- Your study set is saved and the pronunciation is fixed.
Watch out, for the following languages, you need a Plus membership: Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and Greek.
Do you see the purple sign but still no sound? You’ve probably muted your browser.
